Gray whales are known to be reclusive and set in their ways, but there are a dozen gray whales along the coast of Washington state that are becoming more social in order to feast on shrimp. Marine biologists have been tracking the group with sensors and satellite imagery. The group detours during its annual northward migration in order to eat ghost shrimp and the group is getting larger each year.
