Ingredients for Prawn curry:

Cooking time- 20 mins.

Ingredients:

Prawns/Shrimps- 400 gms
Onions- 2
Red whole chillis- 5-6
Ginger- 1/2 whole
Garlic- 5-6 cloves
Refine oil- 1 tablespoon
Coconut Milk- 1 cup
Small knob of Tamarind- 1 teaspoon
Coconut grated- 1/2 cup
Tomato- 1

Spices:

Salt- 2-3 tablespoon
Cumin powder- 1 tablespoon
Coriander powder- 1 tablespoon
Black pepper powder- 1 tablespoon

Preparation:

- Transfer prawns to a bowl and add enough cold water to soak them properly for 15 minutes.
- Grind the ingredients red whole chillis, tamarind, coconut grated, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper powder, and coconut milk to a smooth paste and set aside.
- Chop the tomato, onions, and ginger garlic.

Process:

- In a pan, heat refine oil and add ginger, garlic, and onions. Saute the onions till they are a light golden brown and add tomatoes. Cook the tomatoes for 5-7 minutes till they break down easily with the back of a spoon.
- Add the smooth paste & salt to the pan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the flame and simmer the masala for 10-15 minutes till the color deepens slightly. Add the prawns to the gravy and cook them for 7-8 minutes.

- Serve with rice.

Prawns Khadkhadale Ingredients:-
To Make Pathare Prabhu Sambar Masala
2 tbsp. Wheat
2 tbsp. Split Bengal gram
1 tsp. Turmeric powder
½ tsp. Fenugreek seeds
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp. black peppercorns
20 Kashmiri dry red chillies
8 tbsp. coriander seeds
1½ tbsp. Cumin seeds
1½ tbsp. mustard seeds

To Make Prawns Khadkhadale
12 prawns shelled, keeping the head and the tail intact and legs trimmed
2 tsp. Kashmiri chilli powder
2 tsp. Pathare Prabhu sambar masala
½ tsp. turmeric powder
1 ½ tbsp. Garlic paste
5 tbsp. Oil
A pinch of asafoetida
Salt to taste
